Memories of Milan (woodcut)
Here is unproofed wooden block of the Memories of Milan that I finished carving today. The printing will start sometime after my return from North Carolina. I promised my son that he'd help me printing it, and I don't think we wouldn't have any time to do that until early November.

Portrait update.
Portrait of the Son as a Young Admiral,
oil on linen, 54" x 42" (c) Anatole Upart, 2007
Here is the painting that was completed couple of weeks ago. Some details were missing from earlier photo that were added in the final session (cartographic details, the shoes, the Maltese Cross on the neck, flags etc.) - now it is complete. I am glad this long-awaited painting has materialized.
